this product safely allows you to start and idle your bike with the kickstand down, as long as the transmission is in neutral. if the transmission is placed in gear with the kickstand down the engine will shut off.

I just installed the EVO kickstand bypass today. This is a great alternative to cutting and splicing. The harness itself is constructed very well and the install is straightforward.
